10 years ago, when he was just 8 years old, he was in an ATV accident where he struck a tree. After he was care flighted to Dayton Children’s Hospital, he was diagnosed with a small brain injury, spinal cord injury, and brachial plexus injury (BPI) which left him with a paralyzed left arm.

During the 10 years where Zeke could only use one arm, his longing to do all the things that any two-armed kid could do never faded.  His drive to go to school, play baseball, and even learn to drive a stick-shift car stayed strong.

However, Zeke never lost his determination to find a way to utilize both arms again.  He wanted a solution. One night he researched brachial plexus injury and found the MyoPro. He got in touch with us, at GRE, and scheduled himself for an appointment to get screened for a device. Zeke got his own insurance to cover the cost of the device.

His perseverance and willingness to be the best he can be got him to where he is today. He is the first adolescent patient to wear the MyoPro 2 and it has completely changed his life. By wearing the brace, he is able to do many activities that he couldn’t do before. As a result, he is a huge inspiration to others with similar dilemmas.

Zeke was recently featured in the Columbus Dispatch as well. Read the fully story here: http://www.dispatch.com/news/20180726/high-tech-brace-allows-mechanicsburg-teen-use-left-arm-again
